Indulge in a day of relaxation at the idyllic N’Gouja Beach, one of Grand-Terre’s most serene and remote sandy retreats. Your journey begins with a scenic drive, offering breathtaking views of the natural beauty and undeveloped coastline that lead to this hidden gem.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a picturesque beach surrounded by swaying coconut palms and majestic baobab trees, whose unique bark resembles elephant skin. Keep an eye out for the playful common brown lemurs in the treetops and the graceful green sea turtles swimming close to the shore.
Take advantage of your free time to dive into the crystal-clear waters brimming with marine life, soak up the sun, wander along the wide beach, or unwind in the refreshing shade. Snacks and drinks will be provided for your enjoyment. Please note that there are no lounge chairs or umbrellas available on the beach, so be sure to bring towels from your room.
Cancellation Policy:
7 Days prior to arrival in the excursion port. This excursion is within 7 days of arrival into the excursion port. Any cancellations made after this deadline will be subject to full payment of the tour. This will include if a guest cancels their voyage within 7 days of arrival into the excursion port.
Please note:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen. For your comfort we advise wearing flat, comfy shoes. To avoid damage or loss, please leave all electronic devices and valuables onboard, as Holland America is not responsible for the loss, damage, or theft of these items. Towels are also available in your stateroom but please make sure to bring the ship towels back to the ship. The standard of transportation and level of guide experience may vary. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here and guides are often in training -- you are trading breadth of experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up.
