Start today's adventure with a scenic drive through Vancouver before you cross the majestic Lions Gate Bridge to Stanley Park. You'll see the city's vibrant neighborhoods and stunning views of the city's skyline and coastal mountains. Visit Vancouver's famed totems, where you'll see and hear stories of monumental, hand-carved works of art that speak proudly of BC's indigenous cultures and mythology. You'll also have time to marvel at city vistas and take a short guided walk.
The drive from Stanley Park to the North Shore's Capilano River Canyon is a scenic route that unveils sweeping views of the North Shore Mountains, leading to the awe-inspiring canyon of the rushing Capilano River. Take a nature walk with interpretive commentary and hear about Pacific salmons' essential role in the ecological makeup of the region. From April to October, different species of salmon run the river to spawn. It's a 15-minute walk to the Cleveland Dam, supplying a third of Vancouver's water -- among the cleanest drinking water in the world.
A scenic drive through North Vancouver passes through charming neighborhoods. Eat your boxed lunch as you travel and, when you arrive at Lynn Canyon, you'll cross the suspension bridge amid the lush forests of North Vancouver. The bridge provides a thrilling view of towering trees and Lynn Canyon Park.
