Exciting, exhilarating, memorable -- welcome to Expedition Experiences by Seabourn. Zodiac, kayaking or hiking activities enable you to experience the wonders of nature up close; in-depth cultural, ethnographic and archaeological discoveries connect you to the human and natural history of Seabourn's world. Each Expedition is expertly planned, professionally operated, and escorted by skilled expedition staff.
One of the best places to encounter Western Canada's prolific wildlife is in the Cormorant Marine Park. Transfer by Zodiac to the park, where your kayak adventure begins. Hop into your kayak and navigate these sheltered, protected waters. Scan the water for seals and whales, and the tree line for eagles.
Please note: (Dis)embarking the kayaks may take place from the ship, the beach or from the Zodiac, depending upon operational requirements. Although sometimes perceived as a passive and relaxing sport, kayaking comes with inherent physical challenges and is therefore advisable only for those in good health. Previous kayaking experience is not required. All kayak gear is provided, including pogie gloves, booties, drysuit and flotation device. A Zodiac follows the kayaks to lend assistance as required. All sea kayaks are doubles. Dress warmly in layers; a waterproof outer layer is provided in the form of a drysuit. Bring a hat or beanie; wear sunglasses and biodegradable sunscreen. A dry bag is provided for devices. Minimum height is 5 feet (1.5 m). Maximum weight per kayak (two persons) is 617 lbs (280 kg). Tour generally operates rain or shine but may be canceled in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions. Minimum age is 10 years. Leave all valuables including rings, watches, bracelets and earrings in a safe on board the ship.
